About Me

annieI have worked in private practice since 2003 and started my own business in 2009. I enjoy my role as an Educational Psychologist and working with children and schools is never boring!

I qualified as an Educational Psychologist in 1997 and  worked in three London Boroughs for over six years in various positions of responsibility, including Senior Educational Psychologist. During this time I regularly visited a range of nurseries, primary, secondary and special schools, and was the attached Educational Psychologist to a number of primary and secondary language units. I developed particular interests in Early Years and did a lot of Early Years multidisciplinary work in my specialist role.

Prior to qualifying as an Educational Psychologist I worked as a primary school teacher in Luton for two years and also spent a year working with the Traveller Education Service in Bedfordshire as a peripatetic classroom assistant.

quote1After the birth of my first daughter, I left Local Authority work and joined Lyn Fry Associates in 2004. Lyn retired in 2007 and I took over as Head Psychologist soon after. During this time I also managed to have two more children!

I have a Bachelor of Science degree with honours in Psychology from Reading University and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education from De Montfort University. I then studied at the University of East London where I was awarded my Masters in Educational Psychology. I am a Chartered Educational Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and registered as a practioner with the Health Professionals Council.
